Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. Her first fame was her role in Tezaab from the 1980s where she co-starred along with an established actor Anil Koopor. The next film she appeared in was Dil where she starred alongside Aamir. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance at an early age. She began acting when she was an infant and was struggling through a couple of years since many of her early films were flops. She eventually found success and was one of the top actors on the Indian film industry. After her marriage the actress took time off from acting before returning. In recent years, Dixit played a significant role as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. In addition, she is recognized for her charity work.
